There is a lot to say about the genius that is Amelie Berthaut. The daughter of a very traditionalist Burgundian wine maker she has taken over the estate, instituted organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar and has achieved global fame. But it’s because her wines are so dang good and she is so pure of heart! This is Pinot Noir from a single vineyard called Les Clos in an area of Burgundy called Fixin. In French it’s pronounced more like Fix- ON instead of how we might say it here about “bringing all the fixins to the BBQ…” LOL. Getting frenchy with it!
Serving temp: Cellar temp around 65 degrees, make sure to store this in a cool / dark spot.
Pairing: BBQ chicken drumsticks, cheesy garlic bread, tarragon buttered corn.
